The Jordan release dates 2016 of the Air Jordan 12 “The Master,” which is one half of the Jumpman’s “Poster” collection, recently took place. The other half of the collection, the Air Jordan 2 “Wing It,” is also scheduled to make its retail debut in a few days. However, apparently it will not be the only sneaker that Jordan Brand is going to be dropping in the first week of March. It fact, a day remains until a brand new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 KO arrives at retailers and it has been dubbed “Time Canvas.”
The Air Jordan 2 “Wing It” gets its inspiration and name from a Jumpman ad campaign from back in 1986, which was the year the Air Jordan 2 had been introduced. A poster had been released by Jordan Brand for the campaign featuring Michael Jordan in mid-air, sporting the Air Jordan 2 and it also had the phrase “WING IT” printed on it. Thus, the color scheme of the Air Jordan 2 “Wing It” resembles the pair that MJ can be seen rocking in the poster. While both installments from the “Poster” collection are quite monochromatic, the upcoming Air Jordan 1 KO iteration is relatively more aesthetically pleasing.
The Air Jordan 1 KO “Timeless Canvas” features a predominantly crisp White upper, which is made up of canvas instead of leather, as its nickname suggests. The tonal stitching that details the upper is also camouflaged, but the branding like the Jordan Wings logo, the Nike Air logo on the Swoosh and the Nike Swoosh on the sides are definitely visible since their covered in bright Sail. While the White midsoles also blend with the upper, this sneaker is also equipped with Sail-colored outsoles.
It is not the first time the Jumpamn has dropped two or more sneakers on one day, so the Jordan release 2016 of both the Air Jordan 2 “Wing It” and the Air Jordan 1 KO “Timeless Canvas” will take place on March 5th. Jordanheads will have to decide whether they are going to cop both, or one of them.
