It seems that 2016 might just be the year of revival in the world of Air Jordan sneakers. Jordan Brand has already brought back the Air Jordan 4 “White/Cement” complete with the Nike Air logo, while the Jordan 3 “True Blue,” Jordan 11 “Space Jam” and the Jordan 17+ “Copper” are also making a comeback. Last month it was also revealed that the navy-colored rendition of the Air Jordan 1 High OG from the model’s original “Metallic” colorways is also returning. It turns out that it may have even influenced another upcoming of iteration Air Jordan 1 Low, which also features OG elements.
Instagram user @zsneakerheadz is the one who has shared the above latest, much clearer photo of the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Metallic Blue.” It was back in 1985 when Jordan Brand had originally dropped the sneaker, so it is 21 years later that is receiving the receiving the remastered treatment, which means that it will look exactly like the first time it hit the shelves. The uppers of this sneaker mostly consist of white leather, while metallic navy accents visible throughout add a nice, contrasting touch. While the sneaker is apparently slated to retail at a price of $160 on June 4, it has apparently also influenced another similar Air Jordan 1 Low colorway too.
With the spring season already underway, it seems that Jordan Brand is ready to drop this Air Jordan 1 Low OG “White/Midnight Navy” in the coming days. It resembles the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Metallic Blue” to quite an extent with its predominantly white leather uppers while the heel tabs, inner linings, the Nike Swooshes, outsoles and the Nike Air logos on the tongues are also covered in Midnight Navy. Thus, it should be obvious why the Air Jordan 1 High OG “White/Midnight Navy” and the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “White/Midnight Navy” look so alike. The arrival of the latter at retailers is apparently scheduled for March 19th and its retail price will apparently be $130.
