The new year is underway and Jordan Brand had already confirmed in 2015 that they were planning to bring back several original and non-original colorways of the Air Jordan 12. The Jordan release of these Air Jordan 12 iterations will mark their return after a very long time, which is sure to make Jordanheads eager to cop a pair of these sneaker renditions once they arrive. The “Cherry/Varsity Red” and “Flu Game” are amongst the colorways of the Air Jordan 12 that are scheduled to hit the shelves, but it seems that the “French Blue” iteration might make its way to retailers first.
It was back in 1997 when Jordan Brand introduced the Air Jordan 12, after Karl Malone won the MVP from Michael Jordan. The source of inspiration behind the design of the Air Jordan 12 was the Japanese army flag, which is the reason that ribbed leather covers its upper. To this day, it surprises Jordanheads to learn that the Air Jordan 12 designed without any Nike branding whatsoever. It was also the first time that Nike Zoom cushioning was installed in an Air Jordan sneaker. Consequently, the Air Jordan 12 received tremendous praise, both on and off the court.
The Air Jordan 12 is actually not an original rendition since it was in 2004 when it made its retail debut. The latest photos of the 2016 version of the Air Jordan 12 have surfaced and it looks precisely like the last time it had been available. Most of the sneaker’s upper is made up of crisp White tumbled leather, while the side panels on the medial and lateral portion of the sneaker are covered in a French Blue hue. As is typical for an Air Jordan 12 sneaker, the French Blue-, Red- and White-colored heel tag features “TWO 3” instead of “23.”Moreover, the Jumpman on the midsole that is covered in grey, the lace eyelets that are dressed up in silver and the red “23” that can be spotted on the heel all add the finish touches to the sneaker.
It has already been revealed that the Air Jordan 12 “French Blue” will be makings its comeback in an OG box and with a retro card. It has further also been confirmed that the Jordan release 2016 of the Air Jordan 12 “French Blue” will take place next month on March 26th.
