The Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau Has Returned This Time With “Snakeskin” Aesthetic

Quite some time had passed since any Nouveau version of the Air Jordan 1 made a splash in 2016. The last time Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau colorways arrived at retailers was back near the end of January. The two colorways were not a part of any elaborate collection or pack, but they were still relatively as innovative as other renditions that Jordanheads had seen before. One of them even resembled the color scheme of the recently released Air Jordan 4Dunk From Above,” but with black and white instead of navy and grey. Now a more exotic Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau has arrived.

AIR-JORDAN-1-HIGH-NOUVEAU-SNAKESKIN-11Jordan Brand had devised the Nouveau moniker so that they had a name to associate with premium editions of both the high-top and mid-top Air Jordan 1 silhouettes. Not too long ago, the Jumpman had dropped the Air Jordan 1 Mid in several different iterations, all of which featured premium leather and suede constructions, or the use of similar premium materials. It turns out that Jordanheads were more interested in the Air Jordan High Nouveau than its mid-top counterpart. Therefore, they will definitely want to get their hands on the latest “Snakeskin” rendition of the model.

Considering that the all-black uppers of this sneaker appear to be quite reptilian, it is obvious where it gets its nickname from. Along with the faux snakeskin texture, another unique feature of this sneaker is that the textured material has been cut out at the sides to form the shape of the Nike Swooshes. A black mesh underlay becomes visible through the cutout Nike Swooshes. The only contrasting portions of this sneaker are the red-colored branding, inner lining and outsoles, as well as the all-white midsoles and Jumpmen logos on the tongues.

Well, they do not have to wait any longer because Jordan Brand retailers already have the Air Jordan 1 High Nouveau “Snakeskin” up on retail at a price of $150.
