As a tribute to the Black Mamba’s impending retirement, Jordan Brand whipped up an Air Jordan Kobe Pack, which may or may not hit the shelves at some point this year. For Jordanheads, it is somewhat wishful thinking that they might be able to cop this pack, but certain athletes, celebrities and musicians are lucky enough to have already received the pack directly from the Jumpman. Zach Myers, the founder, guitarist and lead singer of Shinedown, was the first to receive the pack and apparently, Fat Joe is the latest one among them since he was spotted wearing one of the sneakers from the pack.
Rapper Travis Scott also received the Air Jordan Kobe Pack during the first week of this month. Instead of black “Away” editions that were given to Zach Myers, Travis Scott received the white “Home” versions of the Air Jordan 3 and the Air Jordan 8 that are included in the pack. On the other hand, it is not so unusual that even Michael Jordan’s younger son Marcus received the pack as a gift and he even showed off the kicks on his Instagram account. The white Air Jordan 3 from the pack even sold off on eBay at a whopping US $75,200.
The Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8 that this Kobe Pack consists of were once PEs that Kobe Bryant had actually laced up in back when he was had not signed with a footwear brand. The two sneakers are dressed up in Los Angeles Lakers-inspired color schemes. Based on the photos that Marcus Jordan had shared, the two sneakers actually come in a large, special box that sport both Kobe Bryant’s #24 and Michael Jordan’s #23 on the outside.
As can be seen in the photo above, even Fat Joe apparently owns the pack, considering that he is rocking the Air Jordan 8 from the pack. It is being rumored that if the Air Jordan Kobe Pack does indeed end up hitting the shelves, its retail price will be $500.
