This Black Friday, the spotlight was on the Air Jordan 8 “Aqua” and most Jordanheads had been impatiently waiting for this very moment to grab a pair of the sneaker. However, there is another sneaker that is going to be among the early sneaker highlights of 2016. Additionally, the “Cherry Red” and the “French Blue” colorways of the Air Jordan 12 are also making their comeback next year, but they are not the only iterations of the model that will hit the shelves. As a part of Jordan Brand’s “Poster” Collection, next year will also mark the 2016 Jordan releases of the Air Jordan “Master,” which is showcased in these new photos.
The fact that the Air Jordan 12 “Master” is included in Jordan Brand’s “Poster” Collection probably gives Jordanheads an idea of this sneaker’s source of inspiration. The theme of this sneaker is actually inspired by a poster of Michael Jordan based on one of his classic ad campaigns. As for collectors wondering why Jordan Brand is bringing back and dropping such a handful Air Jordan 12 pairs next year, for their knowledge it also happens to be the 20th Anniversary of the model next year.
Staying true to the overall theme of the poster it draws inspiration from, the Air Jordan 12 “Master” sports an upper dressed up almost entirely in ominous Black, which makes the sneaker look quite sleek. At the same time, contrasting White accents are also visible over the portions of the side panels, tongue and the unique branding featured at the rear end. In addition, traces of Gold can also be found on this sneaker on its top eyelets, which make it look even more exquisite.
For some reason, the Jordan release 2016 of the “Poster” Collection, or next year’s other collections, is not taking place collectively. So, the Air Jordan 12 “Master” will make its retail debut as one half of the collection on February 27th, 2016 and it will be up for grabs at a price of $190.
