This All-Gold Sneaker Mistaken For The Jordan 30 Is Actually The Jordan Trunner
Jordan Brand is quite well-known for their basketball sneakers, but over the years, they have also designed and dropped footwear for a variety of other sports, such as football. While Nike had long been involved in the cross-training field with their Air Max series, Jordan Brand also decided to give it a shot when they first introduced the Jordan Trunner model. The last time a Jordan Trunner colorway hit the shelves was back in 2012. While Jordanheads had likely not been expecting the Jordan releases of another Trunner rendition, one had already been unveiled long ago under the guise of another silhouette.
While the Air Jordan 30 recently arrived at retailers, long before anyone knew what Jordan Brand’s latest signature model looked like, the sneaker seen in the photo above was rumored to be the thirtieth Air Jordan silhouette. However, as Jordanheads have likely realized by now, the sneaker readers can see in the photo is actually a new color of the Jordan Trunner. Many of those reading this may not even be familiar with the Trunner, but it is actually one of Jordan Brand’s most comfortable, running/training hybrid model that can be worn at the gym, while playing football or while running.
It was Michael Jordan’s son Marcus who previewed this Jordan Trunner iteration in a Tweet that he deleted soon after. This nearly all-Gold sneaker appears to be quite premium since its upper consists over synthetic croc-skin overlays, including the sneaker’s midfoot strap. The only other hue that can be seen on this sneaker is White, which covers the sole unit and is visible on the upper in the form of accents.
Apparently, the near future will not just mark the Jordan release 2016 of this Trunner rendition. New photos suggest that several other colorways of the Jordan Trunner will be hitting the shelves at some point this year, such as an all-Black, Black and White, all-Red, and an all-White one.
