Apart from marking the Jordan release date 2016 of some major Air Jordan sneakers, February 2016 also the month in which multiple Jordan restock occurrences took place. Moreover, apart from the fact that Nike’s Toronto-based NIKEiD Loft made some exclusive options available for the Kobe XI, KD 8 and LeBron XIII, Jordan Brand’s 306 Yonge store debuted with some unexpected restocks.
Earlier in February, a week or so before the All-Star Weekend, Jordan Brand posted a teaser video on their official Twitter account about opening a new flagship store in Toronto, Canada. Following the teaser video, the Jumpman were finally ready to open the doors of their only flagship location in Canada at 306 Yonge in Toronto. The soft-opening of the store took place on during the All-Star Weekend.
The layout of Jordan Brand’s 306 Yonge store resembles that of their Station 23 one in Chicago, with décor and installations reflect the Jumpman’s 30-year-old history. A “best of” display is present inside showcasing some of the most coveted Air Jordan sneakers, while it is also home to interactive experiences, murals and products that are exclusive and inspired by Toronto.
There is a VIP 306 Underground area in the store, where services like customized, on-site barber, personal reservations, product reservations, and more can be availed. The opening event of the 306 Yonge store lasted between February 12th and 15th.
It is unlikely that Jordanheads had been expecting the Jordan restock of sneakers like the Just Don x Air 2 “Beach” and the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” to take place at the 306 Yonge but that is precisely what happened. Moreover, the opening of the store also marked the early Jordan release 2016 of sneakers like the Air Jordan 4 “Pinnacle” and the Air Jordan 12 “Master,” way ahead of their release schedule. While this is definitely great news, the only drawback is that only Jordanheads who are residing in Toronto or nearby will be able to take advantage of it.
