The extremely anticipated Air Jordan 11 “72-10” finally made its retail debut recently on December 12th and before its release, it had been garnering lots of attention this holiday season. While the Air Jordan 11 “72-10” is arguably the best sneaker of this month, there is another upcoming colorway of another iconic Air Jordan model that has creating plenty of buzz in recent times. Even though the Jordan releases 2016 of the Air Jordan 4 Alternate ’89 is still half a month away, more information and new photos of the returning kicks keep on popping up all over the Internet.
This year marked the 30th Anniversary of Jordan Brand and the first Air Jordan sneaker that Michael Jordan 30 years ago. Despite the fact that the Air Jordan 4 Alternate ’89 hits the shelves next year, it will still commemorate and pay tribute to Jordan Brand’s 30th anniversary and Michael Jordan himself. In fact, the sneaker apparently pays homage to Player Exclusive models, considering that it is dressed up in the early Red/White “Home” colors of the Chicago Bulls. The color scheme of this sneaker is a reflection of the kind of kicks Michael Jordan would have laced up in back then.
The upper of the Air Jordan 4 Alternate ’89 is made up of crisp, smooth white colored tumbled leather. Red also makes an appearance through the upper as the secondary hue. Black colored branding can also be spotted on the sneaker, such as the Jordan Jumpman featured on the heel and the tongue. These particular photos that can be seen here are actually an editorial presentation of the Air Jordan 4 Alternate ’89 since they give sneakerheads an idea what the sneaker will look like on their feet. As for actually lacing up in the Air Jordan 4 Alternate ’89, they will have to wait for its Jordan release 2016, which takes place on January 2nd next year when it will retail for $190.
