There was a lot of hype surrounding last year’s collaboration between Don C and Jordan Brand, which involved the Air Jordan 2. Over the course of 2015, Jordan Brand managed to team up with numerous brands and labels that can best described as outside sources, and Don C’s Just Don was one of them. One of the reasons behind the popularity of last year’s Just Don x Air Jordan 2 sneakers was their quilted construction. Now that it is 2016, Don C has returned with another quilted Air Jordan 2 in a “Beach” colorway, its Jordan releases arriving by the end of this month.
It turns out that Chris Paul from the Los Angeles Clippers paid a visited to the Beaverton, Oregon-based world headquarters of Nike quite recently and it seems that he did not return empty handed. The point guard of the LA Clippers decided to post a photo on his Instagram account to show off his latest sneaker haul. He has added threw new sneakers to his collection, one of which appears to be the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 “Beach” that will not officially hit the shelves until this month comes to an end.
As can be seen courtesy of this photo by Chris Paul, this upcoming Air Jordan 2 rendition partly designed by Don C features an upper that is predominantly constructed of premium quilted leather, while its side panels are made up of suede. A pristine sandy Tan hue covers the entirety of this monochromatic sneaker, including the iconic Jordan wings logo, while there also seems to be a special co-branded hang tag. The other two sneakers that are also showcased in the photo shared by Christ Paul are two different colorways of his own latest signature sneaker model, the CP3.IX.
While Chris Paul already owns a pair, Jordanheads will have to wait for the official Jordan releases 2016 of the Just Don x Air Jordan 2 “Beach” that takes place on January 30th. They will be able to cop a pair at a price of $275 from select Jordan Brand and Nike retailers.
