Back in 2014, Jordan Brand whipped up a brand new lifestyle sneaker model by using the Air Jordan 11. The new model was named the Air Jordan Future and it was equipped with the iconic Air Jordan 11 midsole and outsole with a woven upper on top. In recent times, the Air Jordan Future was one of the biggest lifestyle releases by Jordan Brand, so much so that even Kanye West found them to be awesome. Now it seems that a certain upcoming Jordan release dates could be that of a sneaker of a similar nature.
Jordan Brand has once again repeated the concept that led them to create the Air Jordan Future. Perhaps that is why many Jordanheads feel that the Air Jordan Horizon appears to be as streamlined as the Air Jordan Future itself, but it borrows from a different silhouette from the Air Jordan signature series. Instead of the Air Jordan 11, Jordan Brand has drawn inspiration from and utilized the sole unit of the Air Jordan 13. The upper of the Air Jordan Horizon is once again made up of a breathable mesh material, which makes it resemble the mesh version of the Air Jordan Future.
Obviously, the Air Jordan Horizon is not an exact replica of the Air Jordan Future. Some differences that are a result of being inspired by the Air Jordan 13 include the fact that its ankle cut is relatively higher and its midsole is segmented. As for colorways, apparently the new model could make its retail debut in three different, black, green and grey monochrome color schemes. Moreover, a special PSNY x Air Jordan Horizon collaboration colorway could also hit the shelves this or next year.
It is being slated that the three colorways of the Air Jordan Horizon might arrive at retailers next year. This means that Jordanheads will have to keep waiting several more months for the Jordan release 2016 of the Air Jordan Horizon.
